As Executive Vice President of Market Access and Customer Solutions at PhyzData, Mike provides business strategies of all portfolio management. With more than 19+ years of pharmaceutical and biotech industry experience, including roles in national and regional managed markets, specialty supply channels, sales management and specialty brand management, Mr. Baldzicki offers strategic insight into specialty pharmacy trends, distribution, contracting, reimbursement, and the application of health outcomes and economic evidence to prove value proposition.  He is a recognized leader in the specialty pharmaceutical market for developing and implementing key payer and specialty pharmacy agreements that result in documented savings for specialty market segments.

Mr. Baldzicki held roles in senior executive management within the specialty pharmacy supply group, pharmaceutical and biotech industry of managed markets, group purchasing organizations, specialty wholesale, and integrated delivery networks. He assumed roles within the pharmaceutical organization such as Bayer Healthcare, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Enzon BioTech, Baxter BioScience, as well as roles within the distribution channel of AmerisourceBergen specialty groups, Diplomat/BioRx Specialty Pharmacy, Armada Health Care, to other manufacturer & specialty pharmacy home infusion companies. He brings particular expertise in business development, managed markets, specialty pharmacy, hospital systems, reimbursement, and brand management for biologics, including specialty infusion therapies for bloods products, hematology, oncology, and other rare orphan drugs.

Mr. Baldzicki is active in the biotech community and is an Advisor/Faculty member of the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) for Specialty Pharmacy Advisory Group & Biosimilars Partnership Forum, Faulty Board Member of the American Journal of Managed Care (AJMC) Specialty Pharmacy for ACOs, Guidepoint Global Committee Member for Specialty Pharmacy, and was 2014 Editorial Board Member for Specialty Pharmacy Times.

Mr. Baldzicki has published abstracts and articles surrounding plasma-based infusion therapy, managed markets, and specialty pharmacy. He has spoken at a variety of seminars and WebEx’s within specialty groups and other industry-related settings.

Mr. Baldzicki holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management and a Certificate in Clinical Research Compliance and Management (CRCM). He has completed programs in leadership development at Harvard University, Quantum management, Brooks Group, Miller Heiman Account Management, and MD Anderson Center Cancer Courses.

With a career in healthcare that has spanned 45 years in a broad variety of clinical and management positions, Keith’s vision for improving the patient experience began when he became a Service Excellence and Diversity Awareness facilitator in 1996. A Registered Nurse since 1977, he completed his master’s program in Oriental Medicine and became a Licensed Acupuncturist in 1989. Because of his passion for developing others to improve patient outcomes, he earned his certification in Human Resource Development at University of California, Berkeley in 1999.

As the Director of Patient Experience at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital, he launched a plan to change the culture of the organization, which was ranked at less than the fifth percentile on the HCAHPS Recommendation question when he joined the organization in 2009. Through development and coaching of both management and frontline staff, the hospital now surpasses California averages and the HCAHPS Recommendation question has remained above the national average since 2014.

His hospital was recognized by Avatar Solutions as Most Improved in the HCAHPS Physician Communication domain in 2013. In 2015, his hospital earned Avatar’s Annual Innovation Award for Improvement and he presented, “Let’s Give Them Something to Talk About: Transforming Culture Through Daily Huddles” as part of Avatar’s webinar series.

In 2010 he was a guest speaker on service excellence and client experience at China’s Aging Industry Summit in Shanghai and joined the Editorial Board of the China Real Estate Chamber of Commerce, which developed and published the Senior Housing Accreditation Standards.

Prior to his Director of Patient Experience position, Keith was the Care Management Specialist for Service Excellence at Catholic Healthcare West, now Dignity Health. While there he provided coaching to 35 hospitals on operational strategies to improve patient satisfaction.

Michele is the Senior Manager, Pharmacy Technical Standards, Development and Policy, Government Relations, Walgreen Co. In her current role at Walgreens, she leads efforts to ensure the company is properly informed and engaged in trends and developments with pharmacy technical standards. She coordinates with other members of the GR team and key business units to facilitate their engagement and compliance will all applicable standards. She has been extremely active in NCPDP over the past 17 years and served as chair of the Board of Trustees in 2015-2016. She graduated from the University of Florida with a B.S in Pharmacy.

John Klimek, R.Ph.

John Klimek, R.Ph., is Senior Vice President, Standards and Industry Information Technology of NCPDP, the not-for-profit, ANSI-accredited, Standards Development Organization. Mr. Klimek leads the charge to use standards to advance interoperability in healthcare and protect patient safety. He was recently Chair of the Health Standards Collaborative (HSC), a collaboration among SDOs working to facilitate the industry-wide, interoperable standards to support a sustainable HIT infrastructure. Mr. Klimek was a practicing pharmacist in the retail setting for 30 years, and also sat on the HIT Standards Committee, which was created by the Office of the National Coordinator, for three years.

John Poikonen

John Poikonen is a consultant, educator, clinical informatics practitioner and pharmacist currently living in the Boston area.

John has spent the last umpteen years of his life recovering from the addiction of clinical decision support and implementing clinical informatic solutions. This oft-times quixotic journey to improve the quality of healthcare and medication therapy has taken him from hospital basement pharmacies to multiple start-ups, hallowed halls of academia, and on to his latest adventure, a clinical decision support venture – Avhana Health. Humbly, he has found himself in a few Pharmacy Director and Clinical Informatics Director positions at leading academic medical centers. A Doctor of Pharmacy by training with mostly impractical clinical skills, he believes he can ski with the best of them, cycle with Cat 4 chumps and loves the outdoors.

Mary Stevens

Mary Stevens is the Director of Network Contracts, Compliance and Audit at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota and oversees all aspects of contract drafting, regulatory filings, contract compliance and division audit activities for open access as well as managed care networks. In this position she is responsible for the design and control of the documents inside of regulatory, accreditation, corporate, and other standards and rules. Her prior experience includes financial underwriting, self-insured TPA benefit plan design and implementation, and fully insured contracting oversight. Mary’s expertise encompasses the areas of network management, regulatory, accreditation and audit compliance, and alignment of benefit plan design to network design. Mary also taught credit courses for insurance continuing education for eight years and holds a B.A. from the University of St. Catherine and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas.
