Expert Insights: Q&A With Patient Access Leader, Melissa L. Paige

Q: How do you collaborate with payers and pharma to get access to the right product at the right time for the right patient?

A: Prior to any product launch, we seek out our Field Reimbursement/Sales team for our account. We have a meeting with all the key stakeholders within our facility to figure out how we are going to fold the new program into our process. We really depend on the manufacturer to be that bridge for the relationship with the payer. They know the trends for each state, and they are currently reporting this and making sure that the Field Reimbursement teams are prepped to help any account. The relationships with our accounts are the key driver of making sure we get access to the right product, time and patient.
