Meet the three chairpersons of the 13th Partnering With ACOs & IDNs Summit and 5th Payer Partnership Forum. This year’s conferences will be guided by these three industry leaders to teach attendees to strategically increase collaborations with ACOs, IDNs, and Payers through tactical partnerships. These three experts, along with our incredible speaking faculty, will share their experiences and guide attendees through two days of detailed sessions, insightful panels, collaborative workshops, and dynamic discussions.
Director, Health Systems-Managed Markets, Sunovion
Scott Hylla is the Director of Health Systems for Sunovion Pharmaceuticals Inc. He has served in various roles spanning a 28-year career in the pharmaceutical industry, most recently in leading the Sunovion Health Systems team in the development and execution of collaborative strategies in the transformational IDN marketplace. Scott possesses a BS in Biology from St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN and an MBA in Healthcare Management from the Opus College of Business, the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN. He is a member of ACHE and is a corporate participant in the Health Management Academy and Advisory Board. Scott resides in Minnesota, with his wife, Jennifer. They have three children.
Scott Berkowitz, M.D.
Executive Director and Senior Medical Director, Johns Hopkins Medicine
Scott Adam Berkowitz, M.D., MBA, is the Senior Medical Director for Accountable Care for Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM); Associate Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology; and Executive Director of the JHM ACO known as Johns Hopkins Medicine Alliance for Patients, LLC (JMAP). Dr. Berkowitz also helped in leading the Johns Hopkins Community Health Partnership (J-CHiP), which was launched through a CMMI Health Care Innovation Award. He completed his education at Yale University, his medical training at Johns Hopkins, and congressional fellowships on both the Senate Finance and HELP Committees. He has published widely on accountable care and health reform.
Marie Sanchirico, Ph.D.
Medical Managed Care Director, Sanofi Genzyme
Marie Sanchirico, Ph.D., is a value and access medical professional and Ph.D. immunologist currently working as a national Medical Managed Care Director at Sanofi Genzyme in complex specialty drug care division. Prior to joining Sanofi medical affairs, Marie was an associate professor at UMASS Medical School and Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Marie received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry at Ithaca College, her Ph.D. from UMASS, Amherst, and specialty trained in immunology as an NIH postdoctoral fellow and Instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical school/Dana Farber Cancer Institute. Marie has three daughters (ages 15, 13 and 9) and is a dedicated hot yogi and outdoor enthusiast.
